THE NOMINAL EMPIRE

"The Nominal Empire" XR experience investigates the concept of "physical theatre" in virtual reality. In the dystopian game a participant becomes a citizen of a totalitarian theatrical country, where a stage director is a dictator. To run the story a participant needs to take correct "physical theatre" poses

You learn by radio that your country is taken over by a theatre director Vsevolod Meyerhold. There is a crowd of people on the street

Your new house - is a box of three walls without a ceiling. Everything is flat and artificial. The art police explains that everybody here is a slave and should subordinate — to take poses after the signal «take pose!».
Pose 1 After the cry «take pose!» you notice that everybody takes the biomechanical theatre pose. You should do the same by putting your hands with joysticks inside the points. If you are right, the next scene starts

You are a labour in the factory. You should paint decorations for Meyerhold`s theatre shows. Your joysticks are brushes now – you need to paint the decorations waving with hands.

You are a host in the artistic house. Everything is real and looks rich. You hear that conspirators meet in the basement of «Rish» cafe at 5 pm tomorrow. You hear that there are spies among you and you need to take pose not to give yourself away.
Pose 5. You need to take the pose by putting your hands with joysticks inside the points. If you do wrong, your joysticks vibrate. If you do right, you go to the next level.
