On the last weekend of October 2019, the French Institute celebrated new technologies and visual and sound arts on the occasion of the virtual reality film festival and the immersive audio/video concert -22.7°C of the electronic musician Molécule. The immersive audiovisual concert of the electronic musician Molécule inspired by his trip to Greenland will be the main event of the weekend. In addition to the concert, this trip, a real expedition that explores the landscape and sounds of this unique island, inspired Molecule and director Jan Kounen to create ane-name VR film (2019) that will be presented on the program of the "Culture VR: FR" festival at Yota Lab. The two directors of the film VR -22.7°C will talk about its genesis and production and answer your questions. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to attend the screening of Vincent Bonnemazou's short documentary film -22.7°C, beyond the silence on the work of Molecule in Greenland. A program of 8 films created by French artists, to be discovered through virtual reality headsets.
Director, screenwriter and producer (99 francs, Coco Chanel and Igor Stravinsky, Blueberry), also known thanks to his music videos and commercials, Jan Kounen is currently developing three virtual reality experiences, including -22.7°C, imagined with the electronic musician Molecule. As Jan Kounen points out, "Molecule is one of the leading figures among French musicians who associate musical creation with the best audiovisual technologies". Their project -22.7°C (2019), invites the viewer to a unique place that is Greenland. The results of visual research - 360° real images and those generated by computer - and sound research, invite pure contemplation and deep listening, highlighted by the virtual reality experience.
